"Hearts in Action"

With advanced technology and communications, it seems that now (more than in the past) we learn of natural disasters striking somewhere in the world and affecting the lives of numerous innocent children. Following these unfortunate situations, oftentimes there is overwhelming devastation and massive destruction. Kids With A Cause wants to provide comfort and help assist the children, whenever and wherever possible, whose lives have been drastically changed.

Following a natural disaster, one of the first steps of recovery is putting "normalcy" back into the children's lives. For most, this means regaining their school and educational routine. Kids With A Cause has created a special program, “Hearts in Action” designed to address the critical needs of the children affected by unforeseen disasters. "Hearts in Action" is designed to support the health and well-being of children and to provide the important and necessary steps to recovery. We ask that you join us in our efforts to lend a hand to the children of the world who need our help.

You can do nothing or do something...

Even a little can help a lot and we ask that you join our campaign, “Hearts in Action”, and help bring hope and happiness to the children who need and deserve our support. As in the past with the Asian tsunami, the Greensburg tornado, Hurricane Katrina, the California wildfires and other natural disasters, Kids With A Cause will use the funds to best serve the priority needs of the children. On May 4, 2007, in a matter of minutes, the small town of Greensburg, Kansas was completely destroyed by a powerful tornado. All was lost including schools, churches, stores, businesses and neighborhoods. Kids With A Cause coordinated a trip to lend a helping hand to the children and provided clothing, toys, food, school supplies and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

On the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Kids With A Cause created a special event for the children who were evacuated to the House of Hope in Houston,Texas. The celebration was a day filled with laughter and fun for all.

Students at St. Thomas Free Primary School in Chennai, India. After the terrible tsunami in 2004, these children were left with heavily damaged classrooms, no desks, few educational resources and very poor living conditions. Kids With A Cause helped to raise the necessary funds to rebuild a new school for nearly 1,200 children.

It was exciting for Kids With A Cause to see the beginning of the construction of the new primary school and know that our fundraising efforts would benefit students for years to come.
